Learn how to prepare and enjoy a great nutritious vegetarian meal. Proper diet is fundamental for sustaining good health and mental development. What we eat has far-reaching effects well beyond our bodies. The Science of Yoga has given us understanding of the effects of food on our bodies, our mind, and our environment. It has shown us how food not only affects our health but also affects how we feel and think. Great Yogis throughout the ages have taught us the benefits of the yogic diet.

Shanka Prakshalana

Sunday, March 12 - 8:00-12:00pm

Shanka Prakshalana purifies the blood, detoxifies the body and helps to develop good digestion. It eliminates allergies (e.g. hay fever) and skin diseases (e.g. acne, neurodermatitis or psoriasis). Further, it is helpful for lethargy and has a balancing effect upon the mind.

 

Self-Inquiry Meditation

Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Self-Inquiry Meditation is a fundamental aspect of the Yoga in Daily Life system. The practice of the Asanas and Pranayamas are progressively developed throughout this system and in the same way, the concentration and meditation practices are also developed step-by-step.

 

Yoga for a Healthy Back

Wednesdays 7:45 - 9:15 pm

Open to everyone, including those new to yoga. Learn therapeutic yoga movements that focus on the back and the parts of the body that affect the back and spine. Includes breathing and relaxation techniques to help control stress and tension.
